Digital Scrapbooking

I bought new software called "Scrapbook Factory Deluxe". I've been playing around with the templates and my pictures and making digital scrapbooking pages of Cora (her 1st birthday, playground pictures, moving into her new home and visiting with grandma and grandpa). Here is my latest page.

I haven't tried to print any of the pages yet, but I need to try that and see how they print. Both on my home printer and also at Target or Wal-Mart. I can convert the *.sbk file to a *.bmp but I'm just not sure how this will print. Looks great on the PC.

Notice the 3rd picture - Cora is getting into climbing!

Ready for Summer

Sunglasses and Sandals! I bought these fabulous sunglasses from a "Liz Claiborne" store. Why are they fabulous? Because they are bifocals. I did a double take when I looked at these sunglasses. I was very excited and knew I needed them.

My other purchase to prepare me for the summer was these sandals. They are "Born". I thought they were really cute and they are super comfortable.

It is suppose to be 75 degrees tomorrow. So I'm definitely ready for warm weather!

Movie Review

Just now getting the chance to watch "Slumdog Millionaire". I really didn't have any idea what it was about but had heard conflicting reviews about the movie.

The movie is 2 hours long, but it didn't lose my attention at all. I really enjoyed the movie and how the story unfolded. The only problem I had was reading the subtitles - they just didn't show up very well on my TV.

Two thumbs up on this one.

Happy Easter

Hope all has had a wonderful Easter. It is a little cooler than I would like, but not raining. Instead of doing colored eggs this year, I made cupcakes with colored icing. Same food coloring all over my hands, but tastes better!

I took these cupcakes to church for our youth. It was my turn for treats for Sunday School and I wanted to take something bright and springy. I believe they enjoyed them.

Here is the recipe I used for the icing: Wilton's Buttercream Icing. Ummm good!

Easter Crafting

Having fun tonight crafting. I monogrammed these buckets by decoupaging. Found this craft on the blog "The Wilson Six". Click on this link to read the tutorial and see her bucket pictures.

I'm starting on sewing cute Easter eggs. I found this craft on "Retro Mama" through linking through "Schultz Party of Four". Click on this link to read the tutorial and see pictures of the eggs. They are the cutest eggs. I hope mine turnout cute too. I'll try to post a picture soon.

I love trying new crafting ideas.

Go Cards!

Baseball season is here! Go Cardinals! Today they let it slip away. They had a sold out stadium today with standing room only ... too cold for me. I like the nice sunny days!

Pujols is still my favorite. He had a great day today.

NCAA basketball championship was tonight and UNC won. I picked them to win on my bracket. I participated in a family competition and won! I asked my husband if he wanted me to help with his bracket next year! He smirked at me! If I remember right, he made fun of some of my selections on my bracket. Like Mizzou beating Memphis. Hmmm.

Well basketball is behind us now and on to baseball. Hopefully we will go to a few games this year ... maybe Pujols will hit a homerun to me.

Spring, Oh Spring

Spring is almost here. Blooms popping out and beauty spreading. The days are longer with the sun shining and warmer temperatures every day.

Today has been a departure from the warm air and snow is in the forecast. We switch between Winter and Spring and back to Winter from one day to the next.

I'm ready for Spring to take hold and not let go. Easter weekend would be so nice if I could wear my sleeveless dress without a sweater and have a bright sunshine to enjoy the day playing outside.

Movie Review

This movie came into my radar after Anne Hathaway was nominated for Best Actress. I was not really sure what the movie was about, but it looked interesting.

All through the movie, I couldn't decide if I liked it or not. The movie is about a dysfunctional family that Kym (Anne Hathaway) comes home from rehab just in time for her sister, Rachel's wedding. Weddings can be crazy without any extra drama of rehab, major dysfunction, etc.

I think this movie made me uncomfortable because I wanted to step in and help them through their troubles. I think this movie is worth watching if you like family dynamics, watching how different characters interact with each other, etc. The movie is rated R and does have a lot of profanity and some sexual content.

I'm glad I watched this by myself last night. My husband would hate this movie!
