Charlotte - Here We Come
We are taking a trip at the end of September to Charlotte, North Carolina. Do any readers live in Charlotte or have vacationed there? What should we make sure we see and do? Any and all help would be appreciated. My hubby is attending a conference and I'm tagging along. I'm excited about the time away.

There is this huge huge huge mall somewhere in the city, but that's all I know!! shopped there once before and it was super dupa.
Although not the kind of thing everyone wants to do on vacation!!
Where's the conference and where will you be staying? Charlotte sprawls all over the place. I used to live there and have some ideas but need to know where you'll be
tell me what you think and what you find out! My husband and I are taking a trip there soon too!
We will be staying at the Marriott Renaissance Charlotte Suites Hotel, 2800 Coliseum Centre Drive.
I think that's out by the airport. There are lots of options for things to do if you have a car. If you don't have a fabulous mall where you live, you might appreciate SouthPark Mall (Nordstroms and all sorts of very upscale stores). Downtown there are restaurants and the Museum of the New South. FYI Charotteans call their downtown "uptown." If kids are involved in your trip Discovery Place is lots of fun (Tryon St. near 7th uptown).
