Sorry I have not posted lately. I have had a killer cold. First a head cold and now a chest cold. Seemed to start out as an allergy and then got continuously worse. I think I'm on the road to recovery today and hopefully the yuks are behind me.
I have been picking up Little Golden Books lately at garage sales and antique stores. It has been fun looking for the older ones for my collection. My oldest book was published in 1948. These stories never get old. Great illustrations too.

thanks for stopping by my blog. i love these golden books. i have the color kittens dated 1949 that i bought just for me because of fond childhood memories of that book. i also bought a bunch for my children, now grown and i still have them for my new grandson. i can't wait to read to him. some of the illustrators are fantastic. happy collecting!
I love, love, love little golden books. They're timeless!! I have all the ones from my childhood.
So you're from the midwest, huh? Love the name of your blog. . . and nice to meet another midwest woman!
